The Corps enjoyed DCUK finals, the weather was perfect sunny with a slight breeze, the crowd a good size. The Corps performed well at prelims and gained a place in the Open Class finals. They took the opportunity to watch Dagenham Crusaders take the field which was thoroughly enjoyable. Against stiff opposition the corps held on to fourth place at Finals with a score of 73.30. It was great to see old friends and supporters such as Ian Downes, Nathan Rourke, Bill Royle there in the crowd cheering us on. The corps went back to camp in Burton to enjoy a relaxing evening celebrating the first of three finals. The Corps Director added that she was so pleased that our newest members had despite all odds gone out and performed at open class standard, two of whom had never seen a drum corps show until they marched in one!
