What a year and turning point '92 turned out to be! A New Beginning At the start of 1992 after a disagreement with the officialdom of D.C.U.K., the Corps took a 'TIME OUT' from competition for the rest of the year after competing in only one competition at kidsgrove with what was looking to be a very strong Corps. However rather than just sit around waiting for the following season to come around, the Corps started to make bold new plans for the future. The decision was made to sacrifice the Corps' lofty status and high standards of musicianship for the sake of future continuity of the Corps. The future security of the Corps lay in the hands of a new generation of younger members and with the age limit reduced to include seven year olds and a clearly defined policy on recruitment of younger members, a new era of Poynton Commodores Drum and Bugle Corps began.
