By 1983 their sucess was such that they were invited to join the new B.Y.B.A. Premier Class for the top British Bands. During that year under the new name POYNTON COMMODORES, the band achieved the remarkable feat of not only becoming supremem champions at a contest in Blackpool, but also won ALL nine trophies available to them in their section.
